At the invitation of the Boblovo-Shakhmatovo-Tarakanovo Museum-Reserve Directorate, the Museum's staff participated in the traditional Mendeleev Festival, which takes place annually and attracts hundreds of tourists of various ages, especially schoolchildren and students.

The purpose of this event is to use the museum space for a lively dialogue between scientists and residents of Moscow and the Moscow region, to share new discoveries in the field that Dmitry Ivanovich dedicated his life to, to captivate the young participants of the festival with new ideas, and at the same time to teach them to respect history and be proud of our past. This is the third time that the JINR Museum of the History of Science and Technology has held lectures at the estate, and for the first time, it has held experiments. This time, we invited members of the University's lecture group, Alexey Voinov (LAR), Dmitry Dryablov (LFVE), and Evgeny Shabalin, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics and Chairman of the JINR Museum Council. Representatives of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas also participated in the festival.

Alexey Voinov told the audience about the new chemical elements that were synthesized at the G.N. Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions. We presented the director of the museum-estate with a book about Yu. Ts. Oganesyan with his autograph. "This is truly a royal gift," she replied with gratitude. Dmitry Dryablov's demonstration of experiments with liquid nitrogen was met with great interest. Evgeny Pavlovich Shabalin's speech was met with applause. He has written six fiction books and dozens of short stories. In particular, the story of D.I. Mendeleev's balloon flight. Evgeny Pavlovich read it very artistically in front of the festival participants. The audience appreciated the author's original idea of using creative imagination to recreate the missing details of the real event. Our hospitable colleagues allowed us to visit not only the exhibition in the house where the D.I. Mendeleev Museum is located, but also the Beketov-Blok House Museum, which was rebuilt in 2001. Valery Klavdievich, a wonderful tour guide, recited Alexander Blok's words flowed like a fountain of abundance. We listened to him in awe. In this unique estate, science, poetry, and nature were intricately intertwined. It is a pleasure to know that our inter-museum connections are strengthening, developing, and serving the cause of education and preservation of the memory of this brilliant Russian scientist. In the near future, we are expecting our colleagues from Boblovo to return with a visit, which will result in the signing of an agreement on mutual exchange of excursion groups and joint events.
